NEWS EDITOR VACANCY

An independent Radio Station based in Ilorin, Kwara State, North Central Nigeria seeks applications for vacancies for the post of News Editor in its Editorial department.
The unique style of our Station is the ability to provide insightful and reliable News coverage of the political, economic, security and Socio-Cultural activities of our listeners in English and Yoruba, the predominant languages in the State Capital.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate should have a University degree or Higher National Diploma in Humanities, Business or Sciences with considerable experience in Broadcast Journalism

COMPETENCY
Besides academic qualifications, our candidate should have an Eagle eye for News and must be able to write them in a unique style for all our Programmes and in a manner that will separate us from the Pack. The key responsibilities of the Editor are to sub-edit, rewrite Stories, deliver bulletins amidst tight schedules and provide leadership for the Editorial department.
There is a new World Information Order, and the Editor should be able to write insightful and impactful News to engage the rising young population on different Social Media platforms.
