Names of kidnapped teachers and students of GSS Kagara in Niger state released
Teachers and pupils of Government Science Secondary School, Kagara, Niger state, kidnapped on Wednesday by gunmen have been identified.
The list released by the state government and a police incident record dated February 17, 2021, obtained by our reporter gave the number of students kidnapped as 27, three teachers and 12 members of their families.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has launched a manhunt for the kidnappers of the pupils and their teachers who attacked the school in the early hours of Wedensday.
Army Spokesman, Brigadier Mohammed Yerima said in a statement that troops are in hot pursuit of the bandits to rescue the victims of the attack.
“The Nigerian Army in line with its constitutional mandate wishes to reassure the general public that troops in operational synergy with Sister security agencies are in hot pursuit of the criminal elements in order to ensure safe return of the kidnapped victims. Furthermore, the NA also wishes to call on members of the general public to provide actionable information to security agencies that would lead to the arrest of these criminal elements”, Brigadier Yerima said.
