GOVERNOR ABIODUN INSTALLS MAC GREGOR AS NEW MONARCH OF ORILE-ILAWO
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has installed Professor Olusegun MacGregor as the new Olu of Orile Ilawo, in Odeda Local Government Area of the state.
The installation ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Elegun Mefa village square in Orile-Ilawo.
While presenting staff and certificate of office to the new monarch, Governor Abiodun confirmed that the selection of the academics was as prescribed by law and customs, saying everything about the selection followed due process.
Abiodun, who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ganiyu Hamzat, said the accolades which greeted MacGregor’s selection testified to the overwhelming support of the people.
