Covid-19:Sanwo-Olu, El-Rufai go into self- Isolation

Governor Babjide Sanwo- Olu of Lagos State and his Kaduna state counterpart, Nasir El-Rufai have gone into self-isolation after their close aides tested positive for COVID-19

Governor Sanwo- Olu and other members of his team have been tested by the Lagos State biobank but they will remain in isolation until the results of the tests are available.
In Kaduna, Governor El-Rufai announced that he has gone into self isolation after some of his close aides and family member tested positive for COVID-19.

Announcing the development in a short video, El-Rufai explained that he decided to isolate himself as a precautionary move that complied with the standard Covid-19 protocols until he tests himself for the deadly virus on Sunday.

He therefore, appealed to residents of Kaduna state to adhere to all the COVID-19 safety protocols including regular hand washing, avoiding large gathering especially during the forthcoming Christmas season and wearing their facemask always.

In Lagos , the state Commissioner for health , Professor Akin Abayomi in a statement said “We are seeing slightly increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases in clusters in Lagos and all Lagosians should adhere to the prescribed advisories of safe distancing, good hand and respiratory hygiene and avoidance of unnecessary gatherings”.
