ABDUCTED UNILORIN STUDENT ESCAPES FROM KIDNAPPER.
A zoology student, Moyosore Bright, from the University of Ilorin, has escaped a kidnap attempt from a one-chance motorist in the school terminal at Tanke, Ilorin Area of Kwara State.
It was learnt that she boarded a mini bus (Korope) on Friday, in the afternoon, with other students at the school park, then later found herself in a bush on the outskirts of the town, with some of her belongings carted by the perpetrator.
This was disclosed by the spokesperson for the state’s Police Command, Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, who gave an account of the event in a statement.
Toun said the incident was reported to the police on Saturday, that the victim had been kidnapped on the school premises, adding that an investigation commenced immediately by the command team at Tanke.
The spokesperson noted that the Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, has assured that the command will not relent in ensuring the safety of citizens in the state.
